The 1990 DGS gathering
This is a report with photographs of the Gathering of the DGS held at Oswaldtwistle in Sep 1990. On the Friday afternoon members were taken on a visit to Hoghton Tower.  The main gathering started with lunch on Saturday and the AGM reported in Volume 19 part 1. This was followed by a presentation on the Daltons of Oldham by Lucy Joan Slater and John Dalton with slides.
In the evening the annual Dinner was held at the Red Hall Hotel, Walmersley.  On the Sunday, the Daltons attended morning service at St. Mary's Church, Oldham.  They then went to lunch at Helmshore and visited the textile museum there.  On the Monday a party visited Bispham Old Hall near Billinge and then went to see Croston Church which has many Dalton connections.
